Nivea Men - Post Shaving Balm

Revlon Colorstay Foundation

This is my current every day base make up that gives me a medium coverage, and lasts pretty much all day on my skin. The Nivea Post Shave balm has been well known now for a while in the beauty world of working as a great primer and base for your foundation. Whilst it doesn't hold qualities like actual primers for make up do, such as covering up pores etc, it does keep foundation in place for hours and helps to blend foundation for a smooth finish. 

The Revlon Colorstay foundation is great as it has two formulas to choose from, one for normal/dry skin and one for combination/oily skin. I cannot speak for the combination/oily skin formula, but I have heard from friends and read great reviews on both versions of this foundation. I have dry skin and this foundation works wonder for my skin, it does not cling to dry patches and leaves a dewy finish on my skin that creates a natural and healthy looking glow. When used with a primer and either set with a powder or not, I find this lasts all day without budging. 

I definitely recommend both these products and they also don't break the bank either!

MeMeMe Cosmetics - Contour and Highlight Kit

I have recently discovered the brand MeMeMe Cosmetics, and I love everything I have tried from them so far! Their products are affordable and of a high quality, and their packaging is great to really get the best out of the product. Check out my post and my views on a few of their other products! Link

I never used to wear cream products, and have struggled to find many that I enjoy using. After the first use of 'The Ultimate Complete Contour and Highlight Kit', I knew I was going to get along with it. As you can see by the image it has already been prodded and used a lot. 

This palette contains six cream shades to contour and highlight and is suitable for all skin tones. I find these to be really pigmented and blend really well into the skin. Some cream products I find usually disappear from my skin throughout the day, but these creams do not budge at all!

The highlighter is a subtle pink shade, but is also pigmented and gives a nice glow to the skin. 

I have been so impressed with all the products I have tried from MeMeMe Cosmetics and this is another one I highly recommend.

Nutella & Cinnamon Sugar Muffins

I have been going through a rough and extremely tough couple of weeks and decided that after some retail therapy online I was going to bake some chocolate cake/bun/muffin concoction to bring a smile to my face. After a small internet search I came across a few different recipes for Nutella muffins and put my own ingredient list together and I am so pleased with how they turned out that I wanted to share the recipe with you! 

These resemble doughnuts (donuts) as they are dipped in cinnamon and sugar after they have been baked and they only take about 30 minutes to make! This recipe makes about 8-9 delicious doughnut style muffins!

Ingredients

Muffins:

75g unsalted butter at room temperature

100g granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

120ml milk

190g plain flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon cinnamon (variable)

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (variable)

pinch of salt

nutella 

Cinnamon & Sugar Topping:

50g granulated sugar (approx)

2 teaspoons cinnamon

45g unsalted butter (approx)

Directions

Preheat oven to 220 degrees (425F) and line muffin tray with cases. 

In a bowl mix the egg, vanilla extract and milk together in a stand or electric mixer. 

Stir in the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt until combined.

Spoon some of the batter into the muffin cases (leaving some to top each muffin with after you have added the nutella!)

Spoon in some nutella in the centre.

Spoon the rest of the batter over the top of the nutella (do not worry if the muffin cases are full)

Bake at 220 degrees for five mins and then reduce to 200 degrees for a further 10-15 minutes until they are set. 

Allow the muffins to cool for 5 minutes. 

Whilst cooling, melt the butter in a bowl in the microwave for approx 30 seconds and mix the sugar and cinnamon together in a separate bowl. 

Dip the tops of the muffin in the butter and then the sugar and cinnamon mix. 

TIME TO EAT!

I found that the muffins stayed fresh for around a week when kept in a container.

Pearly Whites Teeth Whitening Strips

I have been very lucky with my teeth, they are naturally straight and I have never had to have any braces, or fillings but I am always wanting them to appear whiter and brighter! I have tried whitening pens and seen next to no difference, I have also used the Crest Whitening Strips, and whilst these work, they leave my teeth feeling painful and super sensitive.

These strips remove stains in a safe way and leave your teeth feeling fresh afterwards. 

I found that these noticeably made my teeth appear cleaner and brighter after the first week of use, I thought my teeth would appear whiter than they did, but I am a frequent coffee and tea drinker and feel that this may have effected the results, however I do recommend these I noticed a different after the first few uses and they do not harm your teeth or cause any pain.
