March Favourites

It's that time again where I have put together the products I have been enjoying throughout the month of March. Some are repurchases, that I enjoyed using so much the first time around, that I then repurchased and have been loving using again.

Vera Wang Princess Perfume -  This is a repurchase and one of my all time favourite perfumes. Not only is the bottle pretty and elegant, but I would also describe the perfume as being this. It is described by The Perfume Shop as including a mixture of apple, waterlily, mandarin meringue, golden apricot skin, dark chocolate, amber musk and vanilla. They all come together nicely to create a gorgeous scent that isn't too overpowering and wears throughout the day nicely.

Sleek Power Plump Lip Crayon in Notorious Nude - The small nib on this lip crayon makes it really easy to apply on your lips without leaving smudgy marks or running the risk of seriously over drawing your lips. It does exactly as it is says on the tin, it plumps your lips by giving a tingling sensation as well providing a highly pigmented colour. I love the shade 'Notorious Nude', it reminds me of my all time favourite 'Velvet Teddy' from Mac, except this product is half the price. It is long lasting, with a satin finish and subtly enhances the appearance of your lips.

Rimmel London Kate Moss Lipstick in Boho Nude - A very similar shade to the Sleek lip crayon and this 15th anniversary range from Kate's collection with Rimmel are packaged in a gorgeous rose gold colour. This range is made up of nudes and reds and from the one I own and having swatched the others in store, they are really pigmented and long lasting. It has a creamy texture which sits nicely on the lips and there are six  shades to choose from overall.

Colosrpop Super Shock Shadow in Kaepop Sunset BLVD - This is a lovely satin warm golden bronze shade, which I found best used when applied with my finger at this gave me the most product coverage than when using a brush. It then blended really well with a fluffy brush. It is a creme powder formula and has next to no fall out, and whilst it is nice worn on its own I personally enjoy using it with a light brown shade in the crease.

Seventeen Wow! 3 way Skin Highlighter -  This really is an every day make up product for me at the moment. It can be used as a primer, mixed in with your foundation or worn on its own. I personally like using this with my foundation for an extra glow as well as applied with a beauty blender on the top of my cheeks and below my brow bone. It is a shimmery, but not glittery, iridescent shade that is creamy and silky with a pearly sheen, and blends out well without removing any under layer of foundation. It lasts on the skin, and doesn't lose it's shine and is also great when topped up with a powder highlighter. This is only £5.99, and for that price I would definitely recommend giving this a try!

Vaseline Spray and Go Body Moisturiser - This a convenient spray lotion, making it quick and easy to moisturise your skin. I actually find it such a chore, but want to get into the habit of regularly moisturising my skin after a shower and this product makes it so easy to do so with little effort involved. It does not leave my skin sticky or greasy, buts leaves it feeling soft and hydrated. There are a few different versions and scents of this moisturiser to choose from and its super inexpensive.

August Faves

I haven't really been trying too many new and different products as of late, but there are a small number of items that I have been reaching for constantly throughout August, and here are my thoughts on them:

Sunglass - Primark As soon as I saw these I picked them up and knew I wanted them before I even tried them on to see if they suited me. They are a dupe for the 'Dior So Real' sunglasses, and instead of having to pay out £200, these are a bargain, costing only a couple of quid! (I'm sorry, I cannot remember the exact price but they were around the £2.50 / £3 mark). I don't think they are the most perfectly suited sunglasses for my face, but I still wore them at every chance I got throughout the warm, sunny days, and I am sure I will continue to wear them during the rare, sunny days in the upcoming Autumn and Winter months.

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick 'Mannequin' A full review and post is dedicated to this product on my blog here, so I won't go into too much detail, but I have been using this non stop this past month, as it is long wearing, non drying, and a warm nude colour that I enjoyed wearing with bright and bold outfits.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Blending Brush I have to be honest, this is a dupe, not the real product. I have not tried the Anastasia version, but found this on Aliexpress, and having experienced good and bad products from the website, as it is usually hit or miss, I was not expecting much. However, is is lovely. It blends the product really well, it is dense and helps to create a flawless finish. The handle if flexible so you can bend it to reach every contour and I have found that it is compatible with a number of different products.

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess This is summer in a bottle for me. It reminds me of really sweet suncream and coconuts from the beach. It is long lasting, fresh and I always get compliments whenever I wear this. The bottle and packaging is luxurious yet simple, and as a perfume lover and addict, I have only found myself reaching for this throughout the last few weeks.

June Favourites

Well here we are heading into July, this middle of the year already and thus it is time for my monthly favourites, just a small number of items, two I have been loving for a while but have been using a lot during June, and two products I picked up towards the beginning of the month and have been obsessed with and unable to put down since.

Victoria's Secret Pink All Over Body Mist 'Soft and Dreamy' - I have had this for a while now and I am not even sure if this is still available to purchase, I have a feeling it may have been discontinued, but when abroad in America I smelt this and immediately purchased it. Even though it is a body mist, it lasts all day, and a little goes a long way, I have owned it for a while now and use it regularly and often. This smells warm and sweet, and whilst they may not sell these in particular anymore, I highly recommend their body sprays!

Ciate London Olivia Palermo Cheekbone Cheat Duo 'Bluffpoint'-  A matte bronzer and blusher duo, pigmented and stays all day on the skin, an overall really lovely product that I have been using every day to achieve a healthy sun kissed, brightening glow.

Barry M Illuminating Strobe Cream 'Iced Bronze' - I am so impressed with this, I cannot recommend this enough. As soon as I swatched this in Superdrug I immediately put it in my basket. It is creamy, smooth and very pigmented and priced at only £4.49. There are two shades to choose from, I picked 'Iced Bronze' which is a champagne shade and it is really easy to blend.

Barry M Molten Metal Nail Polish 'Copper Mine'- This range has four chrome effect shades to choose from, that have a mirror shine foil finish and lasted without chipping at all for three days, which is standard for Barry M in my experience. I love metallic nails, and this copper/rose gold shade is super pretty.

High End Favourites

The majority of my make up collection is made up of drugstore beauty products, but now and again I like to splash out on some more expensive higher end products and these are my favourites!

Nars Creamy Concealer
Charlotte Tilbury Colour Coded Eye Shadow Palette - Dolce Vita
Mac Lipsticks - Whirl, Stone & Velvet Teddy
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation
Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer
Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfecter - Champagne Pop
Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Foundation

I am so impressed with these products and they never let me down so the higher price tag makes sense considering how luxurious these products are.

March Favourites

Make Up Revolution Pro Fix Fixing Spray - I love this make up brand, and am so impressed with every product I have tried from them, high quality and affordable. This is no exception, it helps to keep my make up in place all day whilst also giving my skin a nice glow, an oil control version is also available but as I have dry skin this works wonders.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer - A product I wish I had tried so much sooner, and I think I will be repurchasing for a long time because I was so impressed on the first use. This is everything I want in a concealer. As it is pricey and there are many shades to choose from, make sure you have the right one for you. This is creamy, blend-able, lasts all day, and does not crease under my eyes. It covers and brightens and has a nice applicator.
Ciate X Olivia Palermo - A product I found in my TK Maxx store, and as soon as I saw it I had to have it. I have read many great things about this collaboration, The Cheek Bone Cheat Duo in Bluff Point. Both the bronzer and blusher, are lovely shades and easily blend-able and the packaging is gorgeous.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Foundation - After reading reviews, I chose the Light version of this foundation as I felt it would suit my skin the best and I definitely made the right choice. It feels like I have nothing on my face, whilst providing a high coverage which lasts all day! As I am pretty fair skinned, I chose Intensity 1 and when it comes out the tube it looks too dark, but once blended in it fits my skin tone so well, and I really wish I had tried this sooner!
Becca Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop - A must have and I finally got my hands on it and I was not disappointed, this can help create a subtle healthy glow or the most amazing full on highlight. It is a white gold with peachy undertones and I really think it would suit all skin tones. I purchased mine from Cult Beauty as soon as they had it back in stock.
Real Techniques Fan Brush - Unfortunately, only a part of the collectors edition sculpting set, which I highly recommend each brush is amazing, this is the perfect size for sweeping highlight onto your cheekbones and the edge is great for plotting out your contour. Plus, it is a gorgeous metallic pink shade.
